My name is Phuong Tran. I am a post-graduate student at the University Of Technology Sydney. I wish to know the total number of nail salons exists in NSW in the year 2000,2009 and 2019 under the Freedom Of Information Act.

I am writing in regard to you freedom of information request regarding:

o "the total number of nail salons exists in NSW in the year 2000,2009
and 2019 "

Your request was received by the ABS on 02 June 2019 and the 30 day
statutory period for processing your request commenced from that date. If
this request will take longer than 30 days to process, we will contact you
to negotiate an extension of time.
 
I would like to notify you that the information you are seeking is exempt
from release under Schedule 2, Part II, Division 2 of the Freedom of
Information Act (1982). This means that we will not be able to release the
information you are seeking under FOI.

I would recommend that you instead contact the ABS’ National Information
Referral Service (NIRS) on 1300 135 070. NIRS consultants will be able to
determine if the ABS collects the exact information you require and, if
the information is collected by the ABS, can advise you on how to access
the information. In cases where the ABS does not collect the data, NIRS
consultants may be able to suggest other agencies or departments that you
might like to contact.

Should the above be sufficient in meeting your information needs, I would
ask that you withdraw your FOI request by replying to this email stating
your withdrawal in writing.
