Age Assurance Stakeholder Advisory Group

Currently waiting for a response from Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications, they should respond promptly and normally no later than (details).

Dear Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications,

I wish to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 for

(a) documents relating to the selection of members for the Age Assurance Stakeholder Advisory Board, chaired by Professor Jon Rouse APM; and

(b) documents relating to the representation, or lack thereof, of young people, LGBTIQA+ people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, disability and neurodivergence, and/or adult industry and sex workers on the Stakeholder Advisory Board; and

(c) any correspondence with Collective Shout, or with representatives or employees of Collective Shout, or with Melinda Tankard-Reist about the participation of Ms Tankard-Reist on the Stakeholder Advisory Board or her suitability for such participation; and

(d) any documents discussing Collective Shout or Melinda Tankard-Reist in connection with age assurance or the age assurance trial.

This request covers documents dated between 1 July 2024 and 12 August 2025, inclusive.

You may redact the names and identifying information of public servants.
You may redact the contact and address details and other private information of members of the Stakeholder Advisory Board, or applicants to become members, but not their names or correspondence.

I otherwise do not consent to other redactions, although feel free to ask if you think it's something I genuinely won't be interested in or which would significantly reduce the work involved in fulfilling the request.

If this information has been partially or substantially covered by a previous FOI disclosure you are welcome to direct me to it at an early opportunity in case it removes the need for any further work.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yours faithfully,

Greg Tannahill
