Applications for ceiling insulation under the Climate Control Policy

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, WA Housing Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear WA Housing Authority,

The "climate control policy" in your "rental policy manual" states that "Tenants under the age of 80 years may make an application for ceiling insulation. Tenants must demonstrate they require ceiling insulation due to a current medical condition or disability. Medical evidence must be supplied to support the application."

For each of the past financial (or calendar) years for which information is available, I would like to know:
(a) how many applications were made for ceiling insulation pursuant to 5.1, ie, by tenants under the age of 80.
(b) how many such applications were approved.
(c) how many applications were declined.
(d) How many declined applications were then appealed through the Housing Authority Appeals Mechanism.
(e) How many appealed applications were successful on appeal.

Yours faithfully,

Joel Dignam
