Dear Australian Taxation Office,
The web page "Download software for AUSkey" https://abr.gov.au/AUSkey/Help-and-suppo... offers a link to 'Windows
Version 1.4.3.0 (35.7 MB)' which points to the URL https://www.auskey.abr.gov.au/plugin/AUS...

Inside this self extracting Windows executable as offered by AUSkey is a web browser to utilise with Auskey. The web browser provided is Firefox 13.0.1 as authored by The Mozilla Foundation and released to the public at or around June 15 2012.

I am requesting a count of the number of documents produced by the ABR AUSKey project, (either by the ATO, ABR, AUSkey or their contractors and subordinates as working on the AUSkey project and provided to the relevant government department), since June 15 2012 that refer to software security reviews, audits, other associated safety check procedures, threat analysis matrices etc. of the Firefox 13.0.1 web browser provided in any release of the AUSKey software.

Yours faithfully,

Peter Lawler

Wilson-Otto, Jordan, Australian Taxation Office

Dear Peter,

Thank you for your email to the FOI mailbox. We will consider your request and respond as soon as possible.

Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982, FOI requests are required to be processed within 30 days from the date we receive an application. While we aim to achieve this timeframe, certain requests that are large or involve complex issues may take longer. If this is the case we will contact you to discuss when the material can be made available.

Further, depending on size and complexity, charges may apply in relation to requests that do not relate to personal information about the applicant. We will notify you if there are charges and what those charges will be, and we will obtain your consent to any additional charges before processing the request.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind regards,

Dear Jordan,
Thank you for your reply, dated 14th of May.

I note that I sent my original request on 8th of May and that it is required to be processed within 30 days from the date the Department receives an application.

Could you clarify, for the sake of my records, whether the Department received my application on the 8th of May, the 14th of May, or on some day in between and if so what that date was.

Regards,

Peter Lawler
