Each department or agency creates, receives and stores different documents relevant to their functions. This department does not have access to all documents created, received, or stored by other all government entities. A request for access to documents under the FOI Act is limited to 'a document of an agency', which, for the purposes of section 4 of the FOI Act, is a document in the possession of this department.
