Dear FOI,

Thank you for your email.

I note your request regarding proof of identity and a letter of authorisation from Nhu Phan. However, my request concerns documents sent to or from a DFAT email address in the course of official duties. As Nhu Phan is a DFAT staff member acting in an official capacity on behalf of the department, this does not constitute a request for a private individual’s personal information, and consent is therefore not required.

Please proceed with processing the request on this basis.

Yours sincerely,
Thu Phuong
