The Australian Public Service Commission (the Commission) acknowledges
receipt of your email below, received on 14 October 2018, requesting
documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act),
seeking access to:

           

                        ‘…all documents that touch on issues such as:

                        - reputational damage to the APSC

                        - loss of confidence in the APSC among APSC staff
and other APS employees

                        as a result of former Commissioner and IPA pin-up
boy John Lloyd's tenure and his career-ending misconduct finding’.

 

Section 15(2)(c) of the FOI Act provides that the requirement for a
request to be valid, it must provide such information concerning the
document/s as is reasonably necessary to enable an officer of the agency
to identify it.

 

At this point, the Commission does not consider that your request meets
the requirements of the section 15(2)(c) of the FOI Act, to enable
searches to be conducted. Therefore, could you please provide further
information to allow the Commission to identify which documents you seek
access to?

 

While the statutory timeframe for responding to a valid FOI request is 30
days from the date of receipt, at this point your request has not been
validated until further information has been provided to allow the
documents to be identified.
