Richard Edlin

Dear Shellharbour City Council,

For the last few weeks, SCC has been gathering traffic information on Yellow Rock Road, Tullimbar 2527 Tullimbar, using large mobile traffic monitoring and display devices. These devices have now been move to a different location, so that the data gathering process on Yellow Rock Road through these monitoring devices has now been completed.

The operator moving the devices informed me (confirmed through contact with RMS) that Council has these data which are able to show the numbers of vehicles travelling within the 50kph speed limit, and the number of vehicles exceeding that limit.

I live on the street (Yellow Rock Road) where the devices were placed.

Under freedom of Information, could you please email to me the data gathered by these devices.

Yours faithfully,

Richard Edlin

Dear Richard

I was told by the Design & Traffic Engineer that your request had already came to him via a Councillor and that they were working on the raw data and making it readable for you. I apologise if no one has got back to you about the progress of this. The staff member is currently on leave and I will chase this up with him upon his return next week.

We are trying to deal with your request informally rather than the Formal Access application path as this will save you in processing fees.

Kind Regards
Sonya

Dear Sonya Stewart,

Hi Sonya. Thanks for the update. We are looking forward to the data as soon as they've been processed. Meanwhile, traffic here often still seems to view Yellow Rock Road (no footpaths etc so we have to walk on the road) as a race track.

Yours sincerely,

Richard Edlin

Dear Richard

Thank you so much for your patience while staff extracted the speed data from the Yellow Rock Road location.

Please see attached. I am advised by the Design and Traffic Engineer that the sign boards were out there for 6 weeks, we typically only extract 1 weeks' worth. In this case, we have extracted 2 weeks' worth of data. The first week and the last week of the 6 week period. We will not be extracting any more data from this location.

I hope this information is of some assistance. If you have any questions please contact Frank Gaudiosi at [email address]

Kind Regards
Sonya
