Dear FOI Case Management,

Thank you FOI team.

I note that there has been an increase in 5,000 in just 6 months. This appears as a quite stark increase. Is there a publicly available explanation as to why external headcounts have shot up so rapidly? If not, would the DoD be willing to supply an explanation as reply to this email?

Yours sincerely,

John Smith

Dear Mr Smith,

Thanks for your response. The overall March 2020 Census results increased from the July 2019 Census results and is attributed to a range of factors including: system improvements, maturing of the process, workload growth, new functions, improved definitions and seasonal fluctuations.

Regards,
