2025, seeking access to:

… all documents in the possession of Sam Clark, Dan Oakes, and/or the
Australian Broadcasting Corporation from the documents submitted to the
ABC by David McBride and published known as 'The Afghan Files'.

Would you kindly confirm this is intended to be a request made under the
Commonwealth FOI Act?

A decision is due to be made by Monday 18 August 2025, subject to any
extensions of time for consultation or by agreement.

The ABC would be grateful if you would consider granting a brief extension
of time until 2 September 2025, under s 15AA of the FOI Act. This is
because a staff member who needs to respond to this request is on leave
and this would factor in when they are back.

By making a FOI request, you are providing personal information to the
ABC. The ABC manages personal information in accordance with its Privacy
