I am interested to understand the Department’s reasons for failing to
adopt Google and Apple’s Exposure Notification system in the COVIDSafe
app. Soon after the initial release of the COVIDSafe app Daniel Keys (in
his capacity as First Assistant Secretary, Information Technology
Division) attended a meeting with the then Minister for Health and
representatives from Apple where the Exposure Notification system was
