FOI Extensions of time

Ben Fairless made this Freedom of Information request to Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Dear Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development,

Your auto-reply for the Christmas break this year says this:
If you have chosen to make an FOI request during this Christmas holiday
period, you are taken to also agree to provide the Department a 30 days
extension of time under s15AA of the FOI Act.

I would like all documents which relate to the decision to set this automatic reply.

I also want to make it clear that I do not consent to an extension of time by virtue of making the request. I consider that the above is inconsistent with the FOI act.

Yours faithfully,

Ben Fairless
