AGD FOI Requests, Attorney-General's Department

OFFICIAL

Dear O,

Thank you for your request, which was received by the Commonwealth
Attorney-General’s Department (the department) Freedom of Information
(FOI) section (reference number FOI25/525). We write to acknowledge your
request and seek your agreement to exclude certain information from your
request.

Please note that the department can only provide access to documents
within scope of the request that are held by this department, and that the
documents held by this department may not be reflective of all the work
done by Victoria and New South Wales in relation to the matters described.

We received your FOI request on 2 November 2025 and the 30-day statutory
period for processing your request commences from today. A decision is
therefore due by 2 December 2025. However, this may be extended if the
department needs to consult third parties or for other reasons. We will
advise you if this happens.

Request to exclude certain information from the scope of your request

The department is seeking your agreement to exclude the following
categories of information from the documents in your request:

-                      duplicates of documents that are in scope;

-                      personal information of members of the public;

-                      contact details for teams, internal to the
department and other agencies

-                      personal information belonging to officers of the
department and other government agencies.

Excluding the information listed above enables us to process your request
more efficiently. If you agree to the above exclusions, the names of
senior executive officers will be released where they are present in the
documents and do not attract an FOI exemption. In addition, publicly
available telephone numbers and email addresses will generally be
released.

Please note that, with some exceptions (such as personal information),
documents released under the FOI Act may later be published online on the
department's disclosure log
[1]http://www.ag.gov.au/RightsAndProtection....

Next steps

Please respond to this email by date 5 November 2025 to confirm if you
agree the exclusion of the above information.

If you would like to discuss this further, please contact the FOI Team by
phoning (02) 6141 6666 or emailing [2][AGD request email].

Kind regards,

AGD FOI Requests, Attorney-General's Department

OFFICIAL

Dear Applicant,

Freedom of Information Request FOI25/525

… any documents that detail the work that Victoria and New South Wales has
done towards establishing a National Database to track antisemitic crime
and other antisemitic incidents and behaviours since the National Cabinet
meeting in January 2025, including outlining best practice.

The purpose of this email is to advise you that your request has been
transferred to another agency.

Under s 16(1) of the FOI Act, the department, with the agreement of the

the possession of the other agency or if the subject matter of the
document is more closely connected with the functions of the other agency.

The department, with agreement, transferred your request as the subject
