Number of Police Involved Shootings

Winston Smith made this Government Information (Public Access) request to NSW Police Force

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, NSW Police Force should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear NSW Police Force,

Please release documents tallying the number of discharges of police firearms (including but not limited to service pistols, police shotguns and rifles) since 2005. To minimise time and resource allocation, I do not require full incident reports, just the figures (unless of course if the reports are handily collated somewhere, in which case I can sift through them to get the numbers myself, if that's faster).

Yours faithfully,

Winston Smith
