On 30 September 20252025, the Australian National University (the
University) received your request for access to documents under
the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI Act).

The University has taken your request to be as follows:

‘Please provide copies of the following documents:

1. An email sent on 21 June 2025 from the Jonathon Churchill, Chief
Operating Officer (COO) to Shannon Kenna (Chief Media and Communications
Officer) cc: CPO Kate Wittenden, in which the COO asks Ms Kenna to ensure
AMC are monitoring ANU staff social media posts and to report any flagged
posts to the Chief People Officer.

2. Any replies, forwards, follow-ups, meeting invitations,
Teams/Slack/Signal/Chat messages, notes, file attachments or instructions
arising from or directly referring to the email at (1) between 21 June
2025 and 24 September 2025 (inclusive).

3. Any records of action taken as a result of (1) - for example, tasking
emails, briefs, tickets, monitoring logs, or directions sent to or from
AMC or the Chief People Officer’s office - created 21 June 2025 - 24
September 2025’

Your request has been assigned the case number 202500239.

Processing Timeframe

The statutory time frame for processing your request is 30 calendar days
from day after the date your request was received by the University. You
should therefore expect a decision from us by 30 October 2025.

This period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third
parties, impose a charge or for other reasons. We will advise you in
writing if this happens.

you would prefer us to use an alternative means of contact. If you have
