Review of complaints / feedback submitted about Trove users whom have reported disability to Trove staff in response to messages
Dear National Library of Australia,
Under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, could you please provide all documents, emails, internal correspondence, memoranda, policy documents, and related material held which outline the approach that Trove staff take when feedback has been provided to them by users via the Ask Trove? channel. Particularly due to further response from the targeted users who then have responded back to your feedback about text correction patterns but have identified themselves as having a disability.
Please provide information that demonstrates that when assessing the text correcting patterns of Trove users that Trove staff utilise non-discriminatory processes to ensure Trove users are not banned unfairly from Trove and ensuring that the National Library of Australia is not breaching its need for access and inclusivity under the Disability Services and Inclusion Act 2023 (Cth) and National Library Regulations 2018.
I would be grateful for copies of emails sent by Trove users with a disability could be provided to show that there is no banning of users from Trove access due to a disclosed disability as described under the Australian Public Service Commission "Definition of disability" (published 9 September 2019)
Yours faithfully,
Ray

Dear FOI,
Please send me all email correspondence sent to Trove since Jan 1, 2024 where Trove has either banned users access to their Trove account or have sent warnings to users outlining their correction methods are not appropriate (eg saving without correcting a full line first)
Could you also provide copies of any policy documents that dictate which methods of correcting are considered appropriate and which are considered not appropriate.
Yours sincerely,
Ray
