Why are doctors not trained in the use of natural medicines and their health benefits?
I'm a cancer servivor of twenty years now and have not used a prescription drug in all that time. At almost 85 years old have never felt better no aches or pains walk 5ks 5 mornings a week

Dear FOI,
I am looking for an explanation as to why doctors are not trained in the use of natural remedies for disease, such as, viatamins, herbs and the likes in the treatment of such ailments whereas almost all prescription medications have severe side effeects.
Very little is said by the doctor on diet other than to eat a balanced diet when many of the foods have very low nutritional value when almost all major diseases such as cancer, heart, diabetes etc. we do to ourselves as you cannot catch them.
I'm a twenty year cancer survivor and have not put a prescription drug in my body since and at 84 years of age have no aches or pain but i use regular natural remedies.
