iView mandatory logon privacy impact assessment

Mathew M. made this Freedom of Information request to Australian Broadcasting Corporation

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Australian Broadcasting Corporation did not have the information requested.

Dear Australian Broadcasting Corporation,

The ABC recently announced plans to introduce mandatory logons for its iView video streaming platform.

The Privacy (Australian Government Agencies – Governance) APP Code 2017 requires Australian Government agencies subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) to conduct a privacy impact assessment for all ‘high privacy risk projects’. The ABC is bound by the Privacy Act.

I wish to request, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 1982, a copy of the Privacy Impact Assessment for the ABC's planned implementation of mandatory logons for the iVIew platform.

Yours faithfully,

Mathew M.
