subpoena Vs COPS Report

Paddy Galvin made this Government Information (Public Access) request to NSW Police Force

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, NSW Police Force should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear NSW Police Force,

please explain the difference between information obtainable from the NSW Police in the form of a COPS Report (for an Event); compared with information that can be had by issuing NSW Police with a subpoena for information regarding an Event?

Will the information be the same?

Is the COPS Report a summarisation of information?

Would a subpoena furnish further information eg. COPS Report, Police notes, etc, etc?

Yours faithfully,

Paddy Galvin

Dear NSW Police Force,

I am uncertainly why I am denied a prompt response, as it is normally a legal requirement, and assume it has been an accidental oversight.

Yours faithfully,

Paddy Galvin

Dear NSW Police Force,

Pretty slack
