We are owners of 24A Almond St Calfield South with many Police visits caused by tenants

Waiting for an internal review by Victoria Police of their handling of this request.

Dear Victoria Police,
Melbourne Home Share are tenants in our property at 24A Almond St Caulfield South.
Police have had semi regular visits or call outs to this house and we are in the process of trying to evict them.
Would like to obtain as much detailed information on reasons for call outs or even just dates so I can prepare a case for VCAT as Melbourne Home Share are refusing to vacate despite having been served with the correct documentation.
There have been cases of significant malicious damage to the property and calls from neighbors for Police to attend.
Any information that can be provided will help significantly in our case going forward to have this scourge on the neighborhood removed.
Our previous managing agent brought Melbourne Home Share in as tenants and this agent was sacked as we were aware of them not making inspections and just taking commissions for rent.
With Covid restrictions, we were limited in our ability to commence eviction processes.
Caulfield South Police have attended this property many times and I went to the Police station and the officer there advised me that he was not able to give me any detail and that I should go to FOI for directions and help.
The Police as well as the rest of the neighborhood will be deliriously happy to see them gone.
Help please?

Yours faithfully,
Ian & Zina Foster

Dear Victoria Police,
I have responded directly via email together with proof of identity and proof of property ownership as has been requested.
The text response is as follows and does not include the scanned documents provided in the email just sent.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello,
Thank you for the response so far.
I have attached proof of ownership and also scanned copies of our passports for photo identification and if this is not sufficient, then we are able to provide whatever information and proof that is required.
By way of property title, we purchased the property at 24A Almond Street, Caulfield South through our self-managed superannuation fund and then under the ownership of I & Z Foster Pty. Ltd within the constraints of the self-managed fund.
I have attached the title from when we first purchased and then also through the transition to joint private ownership as we closed down our SMSF.
The last events when there was malicious damage inflicted on the property and was attended by Police from Caulfield Police Station were 30th April 2021 and 14th August 2021.
From reports by other residents in Almond Street, there were any number of Police Call Outs and members stationed at the local Police Station know the address very well in fact on the last call out, one of the male officers indicated to us that they had been trying to work with the Melbourne Home Share for some time together with a representative of Neighbourhood Watch who incidentally was also at that last call out to try and resolve community concerns and the behavioural concerns re the tenants using the property..
Is the above information and documentation sufficient for you to access the Leap data base or other sources of record keeping to assist us please?
Ian & Zina Foster
Yours faithfully,
Ian Foster
Dear Victoria Police,
FOI ref: 79457
I am still waiting for a response to the above reference.
I submitted a request to VCAT prior to our hearing and that was ignored by the person running the hearing.
We lost that case in VCAT because we did not have the information requested under the FOI and that was not fair.
We own the property that is referred to and as owners we should be at least considered to be provided with Police reports as they relate to our property.
We have paid FOI application and also paid a Police request for payment and yet have had nothing.
Please provide us with the information requested so we do not lose more money and time through VCAT who do not seem interested in issuing subpoena to gain information quickly.
Ian & Zina Foster
Yours faithfully,
Ian Foster
Dear Victoria Police,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Victoria Police's handling of my FOI request 'We are owners of 24A Almond St Caulfield South with many Police visits caused by tenant
We paid the FOI fee, we paid the Police FOI fee and all we have received is a comment that we should get VCAT to issue a subpoena.
They (VCAT) failed to do this and we lost our case through lack of supporting evidence!
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/w...
Yours faithfully,
Ian Foster
