Dear Attorney-General's Department,

An article in The Australian dated today the 28th of October states that;

"Media has learned that the Attorney-General's Department has sent letters to the nation's top telcos and content creators seeking their participation in a series of industry roundtables to resolve the online piracy issue as a matter of urgency. New Attorney-General George Brandis is understood to have made copyright piracy a priority."

I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act in relation to this statement, in particular I am requesting;

- Copies of the letters sent to the entities set out in the article

- Any document which is correspondence to or within the Attorney General's department either suggesting or requesting that such a series of roundtables - or any other measure with the same intended function - be undertaken

- Any document that is part of the planning function of the stated collaborative events

- A copy of any press release issued to any media organisation regarding the matter, as well as any accompanying letter, instructions or embargo request

I refer to your request for access to documents relating to article in The Australian dated today the 28th of October under the Freedom of Information Act 1982. I have taken your request to be for:

- Copies of the letters sent to the entities set out in the article

- Any document which is correspondence to or within the Attorney General's department either suggesting or requesting that such a series of roundtables - or any other measure with the same intended function - be undertaken

- Any document that is part of the planning function of the stated collaborative events

As per the other annotation, answers to Sen. Ludlam in the senate show that there have since been meetings with Telstra - if the documents didn't exist then; some version of them does *now*.
