Marriage Equality Reporting
Dear Australian Broadcasting Corporation,
Can you please:
a) Provide full copies of all directions and/or guidance provided to all staff in relation to the coverage of marriage equality/same sex marriage in 2016 and 2017;
b) Provide full copies of all direction and/or guidance provided to all staff relating to coverage of the marriage equality plebiscite;
b) Clarify reports that ABC staff have been directed to refer to same sex marriage rather than marriage equality, and the reasons for doing so?

Unfortunately the Freedom Of Information (FOI) request you sent to the ABC
on 5 September 2017 became obscured on account of an email issue I

Please limit the scope of the requested documents in points a) and b) to directions or editorial guidance sent to relevant key staff or staff groups, such as journalists who might cover marriage equality. I am not interested in obtaining all correspondence between all ABC staff relating to marriage equality or the same sex marriage survey, but rather relevant documents sent by persons or bodies responsible for editorial or managerial oversight over those staff.
Your interpretation of point c) is correct.
