As a Macleay College student journalist, and under the Freedom of Information act 1982, I would like to request access to all communication between the Immigration Minister Peter Dutton's office with Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in regards to baby Asha's medical condition during the time she was in care (release date 22nd February 2016). Additionally, I am requesting to see any proposed plan or adaptations after the precedent expedited by Asha and her circumstances in reference to her future placement in either offshore or community detention, by Mr. Dutton and/or the lawyers and advocates for Asha's family.

Acknowledgement of Freedom of Information Access request

 

We refer to an access request received under the Freedom of Information
Act 1982 (the FOI Act) on 26 February 2016 seeking access to:

 

'all communication between the Immigration Minister Peter Dutton's office
with Lady Cilento Children's Hospital in regards to baby Asha's medical
condition during the time she was in care (release date 22nd February
2016). Additionally, I am requesting to see any proposed plan or
adaptations after the precedent expedited by Asha and her circumstances in
reference to her future placement in either offshore or community
detention, by Mr. Dutton and/or the lawyers and advocates for Asha's
family.'

 

Your request has been allocated FOI request number FA 16/03/00104.  Please
include your FOI request number in all correspondence with the Freedom of

Processing times

The statutory time allowed under the FOI Act for processing requests is 30
days.  Requests are generally processed in the order in which they are
received.

The Department’s policy is to exclude the personal details of officers not
in the Senior Executive Service (SES), as well as the mobile and work
telephone numbers of SES staff, contained in documents that fall within
scope of an FOI request. If you require names and contact details of
non-SES officers, or direct telephone numbers of SES staff, please inform
us so the decision maker may consider your request. Otherwise we will take
it that you agree to that information being excluded from the scope of
your request.

 

Publication of document

Where documents are released to you in response to your request, the
Department may be required to publish these documents on its website
within 10 working days in accordance with section 11C of the FOI Act. 
Publication will not be required where the documents contain personal or
business affairs information.
